Little Heroes, was founded in 1997 by the dedicated medical staff at the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children, with a mission to support the children in their care.
In November 2024, Helping Hand rebranded as Little Heroes to better reflect the courage and resilience of the children we serve. This new chapter continues our legacy of making a tangible difference in the lives of thousands of families.
The Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children, which has been providing expert care since 1873, remains a centre of excellence for paediatric healthcare. Today, it functions as both a district general hospital and the provider of specialized paediatric services for Northern Ireland.
Through community support, Little Heroes has funded state-of-the-art equipment and child-friendly spaces, helping to make hospital visits less daunting for young patients and their families. With your help, we can continue to improve the lives of children in Northern Ireland, providing them with the highest quality care they deserve.
We welcome you to be a part of our journey – whether by donating, volunteering, or participating in one of our fundraising events, we hope you can be a Big Hero and help us continue to deliver our vital services to local children who need it most.
Give a little.
Be a Hero.
Whether you want to help big or small we appreciate your support.
