“Rusty Claus”, has achieved an extraordinary milestone by completing his annual 12 Runs of Christmas.
Rusty Crossan, affectionately known as “Rusty Claus”, has achieved an extraordinary milestone by completing his annual 12 Runs of Christmas and raising an inspiring total of £8,611 for Little Heroes.
This remarkable effort highlights the true spirit of community, generosity, and determination, all while supporting a cause that is close to Rusty’s heart.
The 12 Runs of Christmas campaign has become a heartwarming tradition, bringing people together to support Little Heroes, the charity dedicated to helping young patients at the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children.
Rusty’s incredible feat was not just a test of physical endurance but also a reflection of the deep connection he shares with the charity, having experienced firsthand the exceptional care provided by the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) during his own son’s illness in recent years.
“The real legends are the geniuses in the PICU who dedicate their care to our children,” Rusty said. “I’m overwhelmed by how incredibly kind people have been. I can’t thank everyone enough for coming out and showing their support throughout the past few weeks.”
Rusty’s campaign was supported by an amazing community effort, including donations, sponsorships, runners who joined him, and generous contributions through bucket collections. The collective spirit and enthusiasm of everyone involved played a vital role in making this campaign such a resounding success.
The funds raised will go directly towards supporting the life-changing work of Little Heroes, enabling the charity to continue its mission of brightening the lives of children and families who rely on the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children.
From everyone at Little Heroes, we extend our heartfelt congratulations and gratitude to Rusty for his incredible efforts and generosity. A huge thank you to every individual who contributed in any way to this campaign—your kindness has truly made a difference.
We wish Rusty, his family, and all supporters a wonderful Christmas filled with joy and love. Together, we can continue to make a difference for our Little Heroes.
