Sensory Room Equipment
Sensory items promote inclusivity for children and young adults with sensory impairment and learning difficulties within the MRI department.
Sensory rooms create a safe and controlled environment for individuals to feel comfortable to interact with their surroundings. They use light, sound and texture to help create an environment where the children can relax; away from the busy, more clinical setting of the unit.
Being able to improve the sensory room equipment ensures comfort and support to patients, to provide a therapeutic space and improve their hospital experience.
While the toys, games, and creative activities bring smiles and moments of joy to our young patients, specialist play therapy goes much deeper. It helps children process their experiences, manage anxiety, and build resilience during their hospital journey.
Your support helps provide vital resources – like sensory tools, tailored therapeutic materials, and expert training for our play specialists -ensuring every child gets the care they need to heal both emotionally and physically.
Without the kind donations from our Little Heroes community, these facilities wouldn’t be possible, and we are so grateful to be able to create a welcoming and comfortable environment for patients with disabilities.
Give a little.
Be a Hero.
Whether you want to help big or small we appreciate your support.
