Renowned country music star and Northern Ireland native Cliona Hagan has officially joined Little Heroes as the charity’s newest ambassador.
To celebrate this exciting chapter, Cliona visited the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children, where she spent the day with young patients and their families.
Cliona’s visit was a heartwarming experience for everyone involved, as she performed songs, danced with the children, and shared heartfelt conversations with families. Her vibrant energy and genuine compassion created a joyful atmosphere reinforcing the positive impact music and connection can have in a healthcare setting.
Speaking about her exciting new role with Little Heroes, Cliona said:
“It’s an absolute privilege to support Little Heroes and to meet the incredible children and families here at the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children.”
“These young heroes face challenges with such courage, and I’m honoured to be part of a charity that celebrates and supports them every step of the way. I can’t wait to help raise awareness and funds for this vital cause.”
Mary McCall, Chief Executive Officer at Little Heroes expressed her gratitude for Cliona’s involvement:
“Having Cliona visit the hospital has been a wonderful experience for our young patients and their families. Her kindness and energy brought so much joy to everyone here today.”
“We are delighted to welcome her as an ambassador for Little Heroes. Her dedication will help shine a spotlight on the needs of the hospital and the vital support provided by the charity.
“Together, we can ensure that every child receives the care and comfort they deserve this Christmas and beyond.”
Little Heroes, formerly known as Helping Hand, plays a critical role in supporting the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children. Each year, the charity raises funds to provide essential resources, cutting-edge medical equipment, and family-focused facilities that make a real difference in the lives of young patients.
Despite the tireless work of the hospital’s dedicated staff, additional funding is essential to meet the growing demand for services and ensure children and their families have access to the best care possible. This is where Little Heroes steps in, helping to bridge the gap and create an environment that fosters healing and hope.
Cliona’s ambassadorship is part of the charity’s ongoing efforts to raise awareness and inspire others to contribute. Her commitment to fundraising and advocacy will play a pivotal role in helping the charity continue to care for local children.
As Cliona takes on this new role, she is calling on the public to join her in supporting Little Heroes:
“Every contribution, no matter how small, can make a huge impact. Whether it’s donating, fundraising, or volunteering, there are so many ways to help.
There’s also lots of fun-filled events to get involved in! From charity abseils, to taking part in Belfast Marathon, there’s really something for everyone! Let’s stand together to make a difference for these incredible children and their families, during the most challenging times of their lives.”
